Congregational Wellness
Frances Hawkins is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience in various aspects of nursing, including nurse administration, staff development and community and acute care nursing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dillard University School of Nursing and a Master of Nursing from the Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Nursing in New Orleans. Mrs. Hawkins also has certification credentials in Faith Community Nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Nurses Association.
She is a ministry leader and Church Nurse at the Pure Light Baptist Church, New Orleans, as well as a member of the American Nurses Association, the Health Ministries Association, the American Diabetes Association, the Association of Professional Nurses Development and the Dillard University Professional Organization of Nursing (DUPON). She is an experienced advocate of healthcare for the underserved population and has an extensive relationship with community services and faith-based organizations.
