Baptist Community Ministries recently awarded over $1.6M to local partners that are working directly with those affected by COVID-19. BCM’s Board of Trustees and senior management will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with grantees and philanthropic partners as we navigate the COVID-19 crises together. In the meantime, BCM will continue to fund ALL of its existing grant commitments.

Opportunity Grants go to support projects and organizations working on particular issues of interest to the BCM Board of Trustees and typically are in response to urgent community need or time sensitive requests. Major investments in the past two years include funding for flood relief in St. Tammany Parish, flood relief in the greater Baton Rouge area, and capital building requests for major community partners like hospitals and museums. BCM solicits proposals from partners as community needs arise. You’ll find some examples of Opportunity Grants that were awarded over the past couple years in the color bar above.
