Erika Elyse Wright serves as Vice President of Grants at BCM, where she oversees grantmaking programs, aligns strategies with organizational objectives, and fosters a culture of learning. Erika brings extensive experience managing a $20 million philanthropic portfolio advancing economic growth and equity in Louisiana, Tennessee, and Missouri. She has spearheaded initiatives in workforce development, small business growth, and youth violence prevention. Erika holds a BA in English from Morgan State University, an MSW from Washington University in St. Louis, and certifications in Design Thinking and Emergent Learning. A former Peace Corps Volunteer, she is deeply committed to collaboration and community impact.

• What’s a hobby or passion you enjoy? Soccer! Two ACL/MCL surgeries later, I don’t play anymore, but I absolutely love watching my son Gabriel sprint across the field.
• Who’s your hero or someone you admire? My mother.
• What’s the best part of your job? Learning something new every day.
• What was your first job? “Helper” at my family’s newspaper, The Sacramento Observer Newspaper.
