Grants
Jocelyn Pinkerton serves as Grants Program Officer at BCM, where she reviews grant requests, develops strategic initiatives, manages partnerships with community organizations, and evaluates the impact of Health and Public Safety funding. She previously worked with the City of New Orleans Health Department, supporting program administration, strategic planning, and policy efforts within the Office of Violence Prevention. Jocelyn brings broad experience in trauma-informed practice, crisis response, and advocacy. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, holding degrees from Tufts University and Tulane University School of Social Work.
• What’s a hobby or passion you enjoy? Designing creative costumes for Mardi Gras. It’s a fun way to express creativity and celebrate local culture.
• Who’s your hero or someone you admire? My grandmother. She was incredibly caring, brave, and creative, and continues to inspire me.
• What’s the best part of your job? Building partnerships with local organizations that are doing meaningful work to improve health and well-being in our community.
• What was your first job? Scooping ice cream, my favorite flavor is still chocolate chip!
• What’s your po’boy pick? Fried oyster, clearly the best choice.
