As Education Program Officer at BCM, Julienne Louis-Anderson supports strategic education initiatives by reviewing grant requests, developing community partnerships, and strengthening the impact of BCM’s investments across the region. With experience spanning education, nonprofit leadership, and community engagement, she has served as a classroom educator, teacher coach, grant manager, community partner, and nonprofit director focused on supporting children and families. Julienne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Howard University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Xavier University of Louisiana. She is also certified in Secondary Education, Mentor Teaching, and Department of Justice Grants Management.

• What’s a hobby or passion you enjoy? Spending time at the lake with my daughter, husband, and dog. It’s my favorite way to relax and recharge.
• What was your first job? My first job was as a summer teacher’s aide at Schaumburg Elementary in New Orleans East through the Job1 program.
• What’s your po’boy pick? Fried shrimp or hot sausage from Parkway. Both are hard to beat!
• What’s your favorite snoball flavor? Tiger’s Blood and Dreamsicle with condensed milk on top, or classic wedding cake flavor.
