Laurie DeCuir serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at BCM, overseeing corporate investments, treasury functions, accounting, human resources, and risk management. Joining BCM shortly after the sale of Mercy+Baptist Hospital, Laurie played a pivotal role in establishing the organization’s accounting systems, policies, and procedures. Her career at BCM has evolved from Accountant to Controller and now to CFO, reflecting her dedication and expertise. Laurie holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
• What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received? “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” – or simply, treat others how you want to be treated.
• What was your first job? Working the sandwich line at Wendy’s Hamburgers.
• What’s your go-to restaurant? Oak Oven in Harahan.
• What’s your po’boy pick? Sloppy roast beef – ideally, one that demands a fresh napkin with every bite.
• What’s your favorite snoball flavor? Chocolate with condensed milk, though I admittedly prefer gelato from Piccolo Gelateria.
