Congregational Wellness
Sharon A. Burel, BSN, RN, MBA/HCM, is the Nurse Manager for Congregational Wellness at BCM. With extensive experience in healthcare, Sharon coordinates the Church Nurse Education Program (CNEP) for Faith Community Nurses (FCNs) and serves as a faculty member for CNEP. Previously, she was part of the team that secured Level 1 Trauma Center certification for Charity Hospital New Orleans. Sharon also managed a Nursing Resources Office to provide supplemental staffing to local hospitals, ensuring quality measures for The Joint Commission accreditation. She holds a Diploma in Nursing, a BSN, and an MBA in Health Care Management.
